THE COMPANY:

Palantir Technologies is a software company, specializing in big data analytics and artificial intelligence. It primarily offers its platforms, Palantir Gotham and Palantir Foundry, to government agencies, defense sectors, and large enterprises for tasks like intelligence analysis, risk assessment, and operational decision-making.
FINANCIAL RESULTS (Q3, November 2024): In the previous quarter, the company’s revenue grew by 30% year-over-year and by 7% quarter-over-quarter, reaching $725.5 million, surpassing the forecasted $701.1 million. Earnings per share increased by 588% year-over-year to $0.10, beating the estimated $0.09. This significant financial improvement was largely due to an expanded customer base, which grew by 41% year-over-year.

NEWS:

US GOVERNMENT IS PALATIR`S LARGEST CLIENT: In December, the federal government gave Palantir a higher rating for secure cloud computing services. And, Palantir announced a partnership with Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH), a competitor in some government and defense services. Also, Palantir announced that the Department of Defense Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) awarded a contract that could be worth $480 million over a 5-year period. Also on Nov. 7, Palantir and startup Anthropic announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services to provide U.S. intelligence and defense agencies access to the Claude 3 AI models.
PALANTIR ANNOUNCED ITS FIRST WARP SPEED COHORT: Palantir on December 11, announced its first Warp Speed cohort, comprised of companies committed to reindustrializing America’s manufacturing and production capabilities through advanced AI and technology. Palantir’s Warp Speed is the manufacturing operating system that provides the speed, flexibility, and security required for the modern manufacturer. It is architected on the principle that software should adapt to the business, not the other way around. The inaugural cohort is already using the software to gain an advantage in dynamic production scheduling, engineering change management, automated visual inspection for quality, and more.
PALANTIR JOINED THE S&P INDEX: Palantir joined the S&P 500 index on Sept. 23. The inclusion enables mutual funds and institutional investors to buy PALANTIR stock.
PALANTIR ON NOVEMBER 14 ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL TRANSFER THE LISTING TO THE NASDAQ GLOBAL SELECT MARKET: Palantir on Nov. 14 announced that it will transfer the listing of its common stock to the Nasdaq Global Select Market from the New York Stock Exchange. The company began trading as a Nasdaq-listed company on Nov. 26.

EVENTS:

EVENT (ESTIMATED: FEBRUARY 3, 2025): EARNINGS RESULTS IN Q4. Palantir is expected to report its Q4 results on February 3th, 2025. The company has forecasted a revenue increase between $767 million and $771 million. Analysts expect earnings per share to remain at $0.11, up from $0.10 year-over-year.

PRICE ACTION:

SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR, PALANTIR HAS INCREASED BY AROUND 344%. The stock significantly outperformed the USA 500 and USA 100, which have risen by 24% and 43%, respectively, with much of the gain coming after Donald Trump's Presidential election win as well as a third-quarter earnings beat.
