WHAT IS A STOCK INDEX: According to Investopedia.com, a stock index measures the price performance of a basket (group) of stocks using a standardized methodology. The NASDAQ 100 Index is one of the world's best-known indexes and one of the most commonly used benchmarks for the stock market.
COMPONENTS: USA100 includes 100 companies such as Apple, Google, ARM, Nvidia, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, etc.

STARGATE: US PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP PRESENTED ONE OF THE LARGEST A.I. INVESTMENTS IN US HISTORY

US PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP PRESENTED THE “STARGATE,” A $500 BILLION A.I. INVESTMENT THAT TEAMS UP ORACLE, OPENAI, AND SOFTBANK. Three top tech firms announced that they will create a new company, called Stargate, to grow artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United States. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, and Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison appeared at the White House alongside President Donald Trump to announce the company, which Trump called the “largest AI infrastructure project in history.” Stargate will build the physical and virtual infrastructure to power the next generation of AI, including data centers around the country.
POTENTIAL COMPANIES TO BENEFIT FROM THE “STARGATE” PROJECT: Oracle, Microsoft, ARM, Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD, Palantir, Taiwan Semiconductor, etc., while most of them are already part of the USA100 index.
META (FACEBOOK), ALPHABET (GOOGLE), AND MICROSOFT TO SPEND MORE THAN $200 BILLION IN 2025. Most of their capital expenditures will be focused on A.I. technology development. Meta (Facebook) said it will spend around $60 billion, Alphabet (google) will spend around $75 billion, while Microsoft will spend around $80 billion in 2025.

US PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP AND HIS IMPACT ON THE US STOCK MARKET:

(JANUARY 20, 2025) PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP WAS INAUGURATED AS THE 47TH PRESIDENT OF THE USA. Donald Trump took office on January 20, 2025, after which he started implementing all his promises regarding the economic policy under his rule, including lowering corporate taxes to 15% from the current 21%.
STATISTICS (US STOCKS DURING TRUMP’S FIRST TERM (2017 – 2021)): USA100 INDEX ROSE 37.05% WITHIN THE FIRST 12 MONTHS FOLLOWING DONALD TRUMP'S INAUGURATION AS 45TH U.S. PRESIDENT (January 20, 2017 – January 20, 2018). In addition, the USA100 index rose 163.32% during the entire first term of Donald Trump’s service as 45th President of the USA.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7 AT 13:30 GMT: US NONFARM PAYROLLS AND UNEMPLOYMENT RATE (JANUARY): According to market consensus, the US unemployment rate is expected to remain unchanged at 4.1%. The report will be closely watched, as Fed interest rate decisions in 2025 will depend on US employment data. If unemployment comes in higher than expected, it could be interpreted as positive for stocks, as it could increase the likelihood of a more accommodative monetary policy from the Fed.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12 AT 13:30 GMT: US INFLATION (CPI) (JANUARY): The U.S. is scheduled to report its CPI figure for the month of January. The CPI inflation data from last month of December came out at 2.9%, up from 2.7% in November.
