US PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP PRESENTED THE “STARGATE,” A $500 BILLION A.I. INVESTMENT THAT TEAMS UP ORACLE, OPENAI, AND SOFTBANK. Three top tech firms announced that they will create a new company, called Stargate, to grow artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United States. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, and Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison appeared at the White House alongside President Donald Trump to announce the company, which Trump called the “largest AI infrastructure project in history.” Stargate will build the physical and virtual infrastructure to power the next generation of AI, including data centers around the country.
POTENTIAL COMPANIES TO BENEFIT FROM THE “STARGATE” PROJECT: Oracle, Microsoft, ARM, Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD, Palantir, Taiwan Semiconductor, etc., while most of them are part of the USA500 index.
META (FACEBOOK), ALPHABET (GOOGLE), MICROSOFT, AND AMAZON ARE TO SPEND MORE THAN $250 BILLION ON A.I. IN 2025. In addition to the “Stargate” project, the four companies (Facebook, Google, Amazon, Microsoft), which are some of the largest customers of Nvidia and could increase projected Nvidia sales for 2025, are slated to spend more than 250 billion dollars on their own on A.I. in 2025.

Donald Trump took office on January 20, 2025, after which he started implementing all his promises regarding the economic policy under his rule, including lowering corporate taxes to 15% from the current 21%.

US FEDERAL RESERVE HAS BEGUN YET ANOTHER INTEREST RATE CUT CYCLE:

BREAKING (JANUARY 29): FEDERAL RESERVE KEPT RATES UNCHANGED AT 4.5%. The US Federal Reserve decided to cut its benchmark interest rate by 0.50% points in September, 0.25% points in November and 0.25% in December. The bank expects to cut rates two more times in 2025 to slash its benchmark rate to 4% by the end of 2025. The bank expects rates to fall to 3.40% in 2026 and further down to 3.10% in 2027.
NEXT FED INTEREST RATE DECISION: March 19, 2025.

US EARNINGS CALENDAR:

NVIDIA: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, AFTERMARKET. Nvidia is expected to print $38.294 billion in revenue (a new record high), up 9.1% from Q3’s $35.08 billion, and up around 73% from the same period last year ($22.103 billion). Nvidia is expected to print $20.98 billion in net income (a new record high), up around 8% from Q3’s $19.3 billion and up around 72% from the same period last year ($12.21 billion)
