The Australian Dollar decreased against the US Dollar during European trading below 0.61850 levels.
The Australian Dollar recorded losses for the fourth consecutive day and it is still in this downward trend at the moment, as speculation grows that the Reserve Bank of Australia is likely to cut interest rates at its next meeting in February. In Australia, Monthly Retail Sales for November were released today, showing worse than expected data. However, Trade Balance data for November was also released today, but it showed better than expected results. In the US, Nonfarm Payrolls (164K expected) and Unemployment Rate (4.2% exp) will be released (13:30 GMT).
