The Australian Dollar rose against the US Dollar during European trading above 0.6270 levels.
The AUD/USD currency pair increased following lower trade tensions and despite the fact that a rate cut by the Reserve Bank of Australia is expected next week. In Australia, the Thomson Reuters IPSOS PCSI data was published showing data lower than the previous month (49.91 this month vs 50.90 previous month). In the US, Retail Sales figures for January (-0.2% expected) and Industrial Production data for January (0.3% exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT).
