The Australian Dollar rose against the US Dollar during European trading above 0.6290 levels.
The AUD/USD currency pair gained ground as the Reserve Bank of Australia came out with a statement that it will have to see more progress on lowering inflation before cutting interest rates again. In Australia, Q4 Private New Capital Expenditure data was released with data being lower than expected (-0.2% realised vs 0.6% expected). In the US, GDP Q4 data (2.3% exp) and Initial Jobless Claims figures (222k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT).
