During European trading, the British Pound increased against the US Dollar, trading above 1.2900 levels.

The GBP/USD currency climbed up in the European trading session, ahead of important NFP data coming out today. In the UK Halifax Price Index was published with data lower than expected (2.9% realised vs 3.1% expected). In the US, Nonfarm Payrolls (159,000 exp) and Unemployment data (4.0% exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT).
