During European trading, the British Pound decreased against the US Dollar, trading below 1.2940 levels.

The GBP/USD currency lost ground in the European trading session, as trade tariff uncertainty weighed on the pound sterling. In the UK, Bank of England Consumer Credit for February came out with data lower this month than the previous (1.358B this month vs 1.701B last month). In the US, Chicago PMI for March (45.4 exp) will be released (14:45 GMT+1).
