During European trading, the British Pound decreased against the US Dollar, trading below 1.2980 levels.

The GBP/USD currency lost ground in the European trading session, as relief set in because the UK would be subjected to the lowest tariff regime of 10%. In the UK Construction PMI data for March was released with data being higher than expected (46.4 realised vs 46.3 expected). In the US, Nonfarm Payrolls and Unemployment data (137k and 4.1% respectively exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1), and Fed Chair Powell will speak (16:25 GMT+1).
