In the European session, the German Benchmark Index traded above 19,000 levels.
German indices fell several times in the last couple of days following the uncertainty around the collapse of the German government and parliamentary elections in the near future. German stocks on the GER40 were lower at close of business on Wednesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Retail and Software sectors were offset by losses in the Construction, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare and Transportation & Logistics sectors which pushed shares lower.
