In the European session, the German Benchmark Index traded above 23,220 levels.

German stock and European stock markets edged higher Wednesday, as investors continue to look for more certainty over trade tariffs as well as the U.K. financial outlook, in addition to gains in the Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare, Food & Beverages and Insurance sectors that pushed shares higher.
