In European trading, the US Dollar climbed against the Canadian Dollar, trading above 1.4430 levels.
The currency pair continued its general upside movement after recent short-term dips, following strong US Nonfarm Payrolls data on Friday amid speculation as to the extent of US tariffs on Canada when the Trump administration assumes office. In Canada Unemployment Rate for December (6.9% exp) will be released (13:30 GMT). In the US, Consumer Inflation Expectations for December (3% last month) will be released (16:00 GMT).
