The US Dollar increased against the Japanese Yen in European trading above 149.00 levels.
The currency pair appreciated following disappointing data from Japan and a strengthening dollar. In Japan, Exports data for September came in at -1.7%, lower than expected. In the United States, Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index data for October (4.2 exp) will be posted and Retail Sales data for September (0.3% exp) will be released (13:30 GMT+1).
