The US Dollar increased against the Turkish Lira during the European session, trading above 36.440 levels.

The USD/TRY volatile currency pair rose in the European session, as the Lira lost ground as concerns over the Turkish economy continue. In Turkey, the Turkish Central Bank will meet to set the One-Week Repo Rate (42.50% exp) at 11:00 GMT. In the US, Initial Jobless Claims (234,000 exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT).
