In Asian trading, the euro decreased against the US Dollar, trading below the 1.0400 mark.

The EUR/USD edged lower after hitting an almost four week low yesterday after stronger than expected US GDP data boosted the greenback. In Europe, Eurozone Consumer Confidence data for December (-14 expected) will be posted (15:00 GMT). In the US, Core PCE Price Index for November (2.9% exp) will be released (13:30 GMT).
