During Asian trading, the British pound was slightly lower against the US Dollar trading below 1.2600 levels.

The GBP/USD currency eased in the Asian session, despite hitting a two month high early this morning with the greenback falling after President Trump announced potential progress in trade negotiations with China. In the UK, Month on Month Retail Sales data for January (0.4%) will be released (07:00 GMT). In the US, Manufacturing and Services PMI for February (51.3 and 53 respectively expected) will be released (14:45 GMT), Existing Homes Sales for January (4.13M exp) will be posted (15:00 GMT).
