During Asian trading, the British Pound was slightly higher against the US Dollar trading above 1.3300 levels.
The pound edged higher after hitting its highest level since February 2022 at the end of last week. In the UK Manufacturing PMI figures for September will be posted today (09:30 GMT+1) and are expected to record 51.5. In the United States, September’s Global US Manufacturing PMI (47.0 expected), ISM Manufacturing PMI (47.6 expected) and JOLT Job Openings data (7.640M) for August will be released (15:00 GMT+1).
