During Asian trading, the British pound fell against the US Dollar trading below 1.2410 levels.
The currency pair retreated to a nine month low this morning after Fed meeting minutes show that Fed officials are more concerned about the incoming Trump administration potential tariffs than previously thought. In the UK there are no major data releases today. In the US, Fed Member Bowman will speak (18:35 GMT) and the Fed’s Balance Sheet (6,852 bln exp) will be released (21:30 GMT).
