During Asian trading, the British pound fell against the US Dollar trading below 1.2430 levels.
The GBP/USD currency pair is trading lower this morning, after a two-day losing streak, following the Bank of England interest rates cut by 25 basis points (bps) to 4.5% yesterday, and as as traders seem reluctant to place aggressive bets and opt to wait for the release of the US monthly jobs data. In the UK, no major data releases will be posted today. In the US, Nonfarm Payrolls (169K exp) and Unemployment rate data (4.1% exp) will be posted today (13:30 GMT).
