During Asian trading, the British pound traded higher against the US Dollar trading above 1.2900 levels.

The GBP/USD currency grew in the Asian session as fears that president Trump’s tariffs may create inflation and dampen economic growth, weaken the dollar somewhat. In the UK, Bank of England Consumer Credit for February (1.740 bln exp) will be released (09:30 GMT+1). In the US, Chicago PMI for March (45.4 exp) will be released (14:45 GMT+1).
