In the Asian session, the German Benchmark Index traded above 20,000 levels.

German stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services, Food & Beverages and Utilities sectors were in the green while losses in the Telecoms, Construction and Industrials sectors pressured shares lower.
