In the Asian session, the German Benchmark Index traded above 21,000 levels.

German stocks were mostly higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Food & Beverages and Insurance sectors pushed shares higher more than offsetting losses in the Construction, Technology and Basic Resources sectors.
