The S&P 500 ended slightly higher on Monday after briefly falling as Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said the U.S. central bank is not in a hurry to lower interest rates and he sees two more cuts, totaling 50 basis points, this year as a baseline if the economy evolves as expected
On Monday the S&P 500 increased 0.42%, the Nasdaq 100 climbed 0.38%, while the Dow Jones was up 0.04%.
