In Asian trading, the US Dollar increased against the Canadian Dollar, trading below 1.4100 levels.
The currency pair grew as the commodity linked Loonie continued to weaken after a ceasefire appeared to be very close in the Middle East. In Canada there are no scheduled data releases today. In the United States, Q3 GDP figures (2.8% expected), Durable Goods orders for October (-0.8% exp) and Initial Jobless Claims data (220k exp) will be released (13:30 GMT). US PCE Price Index for October (2.7% last month) will be posted (15:00 GMT).
