The USD/TRY fell sharply during the Asian session to trade at 11.9413 this morning. The pair fell sharply on Wednesday as the Turkish Lira attempted to stage a recovery after sinking over the past 5 trading days. In the U.S. Federal Reserve policymakers said they would be open to speeding up elimination of their bond-buying program and move more quickly to raise interest rates if high inflation held, minutes of the U.S. central bank's last meeting showed. Other data showed weekly jobless claims fell and third-quarter GDP was revised higher.
