TESLA: THE COMPANY

Tesla produces several Electric Vehicles (EV) including the Model 3, Model X, Model Y, Model S and since recently, the Cybertruck. Tesla also delivers the Semi- Truck.
Tesla is still the largest seller of pure battery-powered Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the world and an absolute leader in the US (taking up between 60%- 70% market share).

TESLA: EVENTS AND ANALYSIS

EVENT (EXPECTED: OCTOBER 2th): TESLA THIRD QUARTER CAR DELIVERY. In the second quarter Tesla produced approximately 411,000 vehicles and delivered approximately 444,000. Tesla stock price went up 10% on better-than-expected results.
EVENT (EXPECTED: OCTOBER 10th): TESLA TO UNVEIL “ROBOTAXI”. Musk has said that Tesla will make a car without controls for a human to use. He has also said in the past that Tesla cars equipped with Full Self-Driving Capability will, through software updates, gradually become better and better at driving.
EVENT (EXPECTED: OCTOBER 18th): Q3 EARNINGS REPORT. For the third quarter analysts expect earnings per share to increase 20.8% to 0.628 and revenue to increase 0.6% to 25.649B compared to the second quarter.

TESLA: NEWS

TESLA DELIVERED 86,697 EVs IN CHINA IN AUGUST, UP 17% FROM JULY. Tesla sales of China-made vehicles spiked in August, up 17% vs. July and 3% vs. a year earlier, as China's competitive EV market appears to be rebounding. Tesla sold 86,697 China-made EVs in August, including exports to foreign markets, according to industry data released Monday by the China Passenger Car Association.
TESLA QUARTERLY GLOBAL CAR DELIVERY (Q2) (JULY 2): 443,956 vs. 439,000 expected. This is an increase of 14.7% from Q1’s 386,810.

TESLA: OTHER ANALYSIS

FULL- SELF DRIVING SYSTEM (FSD) IN CHINA (APRIL 29): According to Bloomberg, Tesla received in-principle approval from government officials to deploy its driver- assistance in China for the first time ever. Tesla has also reached an agreement with Baidu to use the Chinese giant's mapping license for data collection on China's public roads. After the news, the Tesla stock added around 15% to its value.
FULL- SELF DRIVING SYSTEM (FSD): Tesla has the most advanced system for autonomous self- driving, which has recently released its latest version of 12.3.5. More interestingly, Tesla said that it is now in negotiations with a major car maker on FSD licensing. This could offer another leg of revenue growth to the firm.
OPTIMUS (HUMANOID ROBOT): CEO Elon Musk said that Tesla may be able to sell Optimus by the end of 2024.
TESLA WILL LAUNCH A NEW MODEL IN 2025: The model is expected to be the cheapest Tesla has ever offered and it could cost around $25,000.
TESLA LATEST PRODUCT: CYBERTRUCK. Tesla is expected to deliver 100,000 to 120,000 in 2024 and at least 240,000 in 2025.

TESLA: PRICE ACTION

RECENT MARKET CORRECTION: TESLA LOST 32.83% FROM JULY 11 TO AUGUST 5. The stock fell from $270.30 to $181.55 (six-week low). Since August 5, Tesla has recovered by around 21%, trading currently around $219.4 a share.
THE STOCK HAS TRADED AROUND 47% BELOW ITS ALL- TIME HIGH OF $414.4 (November 4, 2021). Tesla was last trading around $219.4, and if a full recovery follows recent all- time highs, the stock could see an upside of around 89%. However, the price could decline further.
ANALYSTS OPINIONS: Morgan Stanley forecasts $310. Wedbush forecasts $300. Citigroup forecasts $258.
