CFD on the Stock Exchange Group PLC (LSE) stock quote.
London Stock Exchange Group (LSE) is the United Kingdom's main stock exchange and financial information company. The company is based in London and provides markets to enable the raising of capital and trading of corporate securities and a trading environment. The company also allows real-time pricing and information services worldwide including equities, derivatives, and securities. In 2007 the firm bought Milan based Borsa Italiana for 1.6 billion euro. In 2016 LSE agreed to a deal with Deutsche Borse, the German Exchange, to merge. However, the merger was blocked by the EU Competition Regulator in 2017 since the merger would create a "de facto monopoly" in markets for fixed income instruments. In 2018 the company posted revenues of 2.135 million pounds and it numbers almost 5000 employees. The London Stock Exchange Group is also listed on its own London Stock Exchange and is a component of the FTSE 100.
