Nvidia Corporation is a leading technology company with headquarters in Santa Clara, California. Well known for its flagship GeForce graphics processing units (GPU) product line for the gaming and professional markets, Nvidia also designs “system on a chip units” (SoCs) for mobile and automotive applications and has expanded directly into the gaming industry with its Shield products. One of its primary direct competitors is Advanced Micro Devices' (AMD).

Nvidia expanded its presence in the gaming industry with its handheld Shield Portable, Shield Tablet and Shield Android TV.
