Description:

Tesla Inc. is an American carmaker, solar panel manufacturer and energy storage company based in California. The company specializes in electric cars, lithium-ion energy storage and residential solar panels. Tesla divides its operations into two segments: Automotive and Energy generation and Storage. Tesla was founded in 2003. Tesla’s current production plan is set to increase to a rate of 500,000 vehicles a year by 2018. The company’s stated aim is to mass produce electric cars affordable to the average consumer.
